About Children’s Hospital Guild AssociationSeattle Children’s Hospital Guild Association is the largest, all-volunteer fundraising network for any hospital in the nation. We serve as the umbrella organization for nearly 500 groups of friends, family, co-workers and community members who donate their time and resources to support Seattle Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center.
Anna Clise founded the first guild in 1907, when she invited 23 of her friends to pledge $20 each to build a hospital for children. This first guild was dedicated to establishing the first health-care facility devoted to children in Seattle and on the West Coast.
Incorporated in 1987 as a nonprofit organization and a subsidiary of Children’s Health Care System, the Guild Association’s mission is to serve as an advocate, through volunteer, philanthropic and educational endeavors, to ensure excellent care for all children in our region.
