2010 Friends for Life Guild Fundraising
Since 2006, Friends for Life Guild has worked with local Washington glass-art talent Uptown Glassworks to develop unique and beautiful hand-blown glass ornaments. Each year we significantly grow ornament sales, with all proceeds benefitting Pediatric Oncology Research at Seattle Children's Hospital.
In 2008, we have proudly added a new group of dedicated volunteers to our organization - The Eastern Washington Chapter of the Friends for Life Guild. We hosted our first annual Finaghty's Friends for Life Fall Fest, and we upgraded our website to enable on-line ordering.
In 2009, we grew donations by 40% and surpassed our goal of $50,000 in donations; hosted a successful auction at our Finaughty's Friends for Life Fall Fest, and continued to grow our ornament sales. Our cash donations are continue to grow. All of this in an economy where donations overall were down by over 3% - the largest decline in over 50 years.
We are planning another big growth year for 2010; adding Salmon Days and a Spring fundraising event. More news to come as we finalize our 18 month plan.
